SNOWED IN

Well definitely snowed in today.  The snow ploughs woke me up at about 4am and there is so much snow on the ground I am not going anywhere.  Manu unfortunately has to go to work as his customers were turned away from Geneva airport yesterday and had to return to Megeve.  All the planes were grounded.

Well it's December and I am busy making Christmas decorations as everything is so expensive here.  The tree has been ordered through the school.   A real one, wow for the first time in our lives.  Christmas concerts are in the second week of December and the kids break up on the 18th. Swarovski has a huge tree covered in Crystal stars in Megeve and we are going to see it be lit up on Saturday so that should be fun, not sure I can afford a Swarovski star though. boo hoo.  But there will be free champagne so that should make up for it.  They have a 24 hour guard on duty as last year half the stars were stolen.  Brrrrr cold.

The ice here is hectic.  The snow falls in the night, the sun melts it in the morning to a degree and then the chilling wind freezes it to ice by about 3pm.  So you go slip sliding away all the way to the school.  It's so dangerous.
Kids off today as it's Wednesday so luging I'm sure will be on the itinery.
