SATURDAY

Well started of the day with a bang and got straight into Christmas cookies at a brave 9am.  All went well and when the kids lost interest I finished the job.
The Cookie Monsters

Then I dragged my moaning husband off to the library with the kids and a walk around Megeve.  It was sunny and crisp and the tourists are arriving.  The ski lifts are in full swing and all the ladies walking around seem to be doing so in 1200 dollar coats, not to mention the designer boots, hats, gloves etc.  All very interesting, but now that they are here the shops are open and things don't look so dead, I love bustle, Manu hates it, he's already moaning about the traffic although there it tons of parking and no traffic as far as I'm concerned compaired to Johannesburg at 8am.

So I asked in the library if I could buy any old copies of the kids magazines as I find them great for learning french.  O we don't sell them we give them away came the curt reply from the young BLONDE librarian, Ok said I.....and, 'O, No we give them away to good customers.'  Okidokie then.  Gotta love the French.  Maybe in a 100 years then.

Got our tree. We went to Samuel's school to pick it up.  It's small but very cute and I love the smell of Christmas trees.  I played Christmas music through the whole decoration process determined to have a good time and enjoy the moment, even if there were fights as to who was putting the star on.  Why do christmas lights come in a circular string?  My parents must have the oldest set that still works, I think they are from the OK Bizaars, I remember them from when I was about 4, they start at one end and finish at the other, but all new lights are in a continuing cirlce, aggghhhh. Maybe I had too much vin chaud - check out my page for Mulled Wine, finally got the recipe perfect.
Cool comes with a stand as the ground is frozen and I had no idea how we were going to pot a tree

Manu screaming at the kids to get in the car

Just the same size as Sam
