CROUP ETC

Not a truly exciting day which started at 4am when I was rudely awoken by a barking seal.  The barking seal was Samuel who had croup for about the 5th time in his life, so it's been a day of pj's, humidifiers and puzzles.  Not a bad idea when you consider it has been snowing/raining the entire day.  We finally ventured outside at 4pm to rush to Intermarche (pick n pay but cleaner)  to buy raclette.  When I suggested it I think Manu was to scared to say no to my request looking at my glum face.  It's the weather it does that to you.  I had a good laugh though because my friend Heather who moved to NY at the same time I moved here sent me a devine email today - all it said was ' Have a lovely day' it made my day.  So raclette it was and yummy.  It's a cheese cut into slices which you place into little pans under a grill on the table and eat over potatoes with cold meats and pickles.  Kids thought it was heaven.  Of course had to cook brocolli for Benjamin - strange boy.
