Les Saises
THEN OUR PICNIC.....
FOR SATURDAY EVENING.....
we invited some friends around for what they call APERO in French. Usually just snacks and drinks but goes on for at least 3 hours. The friends are Stephane and Pascale who have two boys, Axel and Dylan age 8 and 10. They are great with our boys and even brought books and toys for them whilst we wait on our shipment. Pascale and Stephane have had two restaurants in the Borgoune area and Pascale now works for a Butcher in Megeve.
Fig with Goats Cheese and Coppa Ham, Cheese and Chive muffins, Saucisson and Pate on Toasts
SUNDAY ....saw us rising early and back to Flumet to see the agricultural contest held every year. Namely COWS but still fun to hear all the bells and watch the farmers preening their tails etc. We had some Bughn which is the traditional fried snack, sweet and heavy.

So a fun day and exhausting in the end but in a good way. Weather turning now with the whole of France forcast with rain for the entire week. I just took a walk in the woods and there is a carpet of yellow leaves, just lovely.
